Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for training and guiding new or existing technicians.
  • Analyses machine utilization, improves and ensures quality output.
  • Maintains and repairs complex issues or mold systems.
  • Works with outside vendors for mold repairs beyond internal capabilities.
  • Assist and partner with the engineering team in protocol/validation for continuous improvements.
  • Updates to engineering of mold conditions, requiring major repairs.
  • Supports in receiving new molds, mold verification.
  • Manages inventory levels of mold spares and components.
  • Verifies and ensures spares and components received are within specification.
  • Follows all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Practices and adheres to EHS and relevant safety protocols, cGMP and other essential compliance procedures.
Qualifications/Education:

NITEC / Diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering

Skill Set and/or Experience:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and have basic electrical knowledge.
  • Experience in handling measuring instruments, equipment, and machinery (e.g., lathe machine, grinding machine).
  • Experience in mold spare inventory management is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate with varying levels within the organization.
  • High sense of urgency. Escalates potential safety, process, and/or quality issues.
  • The ability to work efficiently and demonstrate strong leadership skills, appropriate level of adaptability, and stay composed under stress.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented.
  • Experience with different types of mold and manifold systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lead major changes or modifications, confidence.
  • Must be able to work night shifts.
