Project Planner Role

Job Summary:

  • Develop, analyze and maintain project schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and scheduling systems.
  • Lead the development of plans and schedules for proposals, ensuring effective use of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project coding.
  • Analyze schedule data, identify variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate schedule inputs from all parts of the organization and update scheduling management reports.
  • Use drawings and specifications for schedule development, incorporating changes into the schedule baseline as needed.
  • Monitor and report on contractor and subcontractor performance, including progress measurement and invoice review.
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and conduct performance measurements and schedule trend analysis.
  • Support various levels of project reporting and lead project planning and scheduling review meetings.
  • Assist in procedure development and implementation, mentoring junior staff on scheduling tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Primavera P6 and planning/reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycles, contract schedules and planning methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills.
