This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, adhering to regulatory compliance, and optimizing profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Control & Reporting: Maintain and monitor financial records related to diamond products, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and profit margins. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports detailing diamond sales, revenue, and cost performance. Analyze product profitability and provide insights to management on price-setting and cost reduction strategies.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking of diamond inventory from acquisition to sales, verifying stock levels and ensuring consistency between financial and physical inventory. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Pricing & Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to set pricing strategies for diamond products, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining target profit margins. Evaluate the cost structure of diamond procurement and work to optimize costs by identifying potential savings or operational improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the financial control of the diamond portfolio, including market volatility, pricing fluctuations, and foreign exchange exposure. Ensure all operations related to diamond products comply with local and international regulatory standards (e.g., Kimberley Process).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, procurement, and finance teams to align on product control processes, inventory management, and pricing strategies. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits or inspections.
