Senior Backend Technical Lead

About This Role:

The ideal candidate will lead the design, development and deployment of end-to-end solutions utilising Java and Spring technologies. They will support a team on production incident investigation and provide resolutions and recovery.

They will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance. They must collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine business requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure backend solutions using Java programming language.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain robust integrations between applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing and ensure code quality and standards compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8, 17 or higher, and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration).
