Biopharmaceutical Operations Specialist

The role of a Biopharmaceutical Operations Specialist is crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of operations within the life science and technology sectors.

The primary responsibility of this position lies in supporting and maintaining work instructions for electronic batch records within Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This involves reviewing and testing process instructions to guarantee accuracy and compliance. Additionally, configuring and managing SAP master data to support MES integration is also a key task.

A Biopharmaceutical Operations Specialist must possess excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and great communication skills. They should be able to develop close working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels. A minimum of 2 years of working experience in hands-on experience in MES implementation in biopharmaceutical operations is required.

Some of the key responsibilities of a Biopharmaceutical Operations Specialist include:

  • Supporting and maintaining work instructions for electronic batch records within MES
  • Reviewing and testing Process Instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Configuring and managing SAP master data to support MES integration
  • Conducting gap assessments to identify and resolve process inefficiencies
  • Revising Process SOPs in alignment with GMP and operational standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including automation, QA, and manufacturing
Requirements

To be successful as a Biopharmaceutical Operations Specialist, one must have:

  • Min. 2 years of working experience in hands-on experience in MES implementation in biopharmaceutical operations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
  • Great team player
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
