Job Title: Therapy Assistant

Therapy assistants work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. In this role, you will assist in implementing physiotherapy and occupational therapy plans as assigned by the relevant healthcare specialists.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong foundation in therapy services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and committed to ongoing professional development.

  • To implement the physiotherapy and occupational therapy care plans as assigned by the healthcare specialist.
  • Assist in lifting and transferring clients where necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Report any abnormalities present in clients to the healthcare specialist.
  • Record and document the therapy sessions performed daily, highlighting key milestones and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Secondary school education or equivalent qualification in therapy services.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • BCLS+AED certification (candidates without certification may obtain it prior to commencing employment).
Key Skills:
  • Treatment planning and implementation.
  • Inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in handling rehabilitative equipment.
