Job Role: Construction Project Specialist
Job Description:The construction project specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of building projects. This position requires expertise in cost management and contract administration, with excellent negotiation skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and analyzing tender documents, taking into account quantities, measurements, and costing estimates.
- Developing and managing cost budgets, tracking changes in design or construction work and adjusting projections accordingly.
- Certifying and evaluating progress work done, including contract administration for variations on both subcontract and main contract works.
- Monitoring and following up on payment responses from clients until receipt and submission of invoices.
- Assisting in verifying subcontractor claims, settling contractual disputes, and finalizing accounts.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Providing advice on contractual matters and ensuring meticulous assessment of costs for all Variation Order (VO) works.
- Degree in Building/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector.
- Excellent negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
