AI Architect Position Overview

The AI Architect position is a senior role that involves leading the strategy, design, and delivery of advanced AI-driven solutions in the built environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a passionate technologist to apply their skills and experience to solve complex challenges in infrastructure systems and building design. As a core team member, you will shape the integration of AI into engineering workflows, collaborating across disciplines to deliver scalable, reliable, and intuitive solutions.

  • Designing AI/ML Architectures: Develop robust, scalable AI/ML architectures, including model pipelines, data ingestion, and deployment frameworks tailored to infrastructure projects.
  • Driving AI Roadmap: Define and drive the AI roadmap for infrastructure planning and design, aligning with digital delivery goals and client needs.
  • Guiding Model Development: Guide the development and fine-tuning of AI models to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and engineering principles.
  • Developing Scripts and Pipelines: Develop scalable scripts and model training pipelines using Python.
  • Leading Tool Integration: Lead AI tool integration with existing engineering software, ensuring seamless interoperability.
  • Mentoring Engineers: Mentor AI engineers and collaborate with civil engineers, utility specialists, and GIS/BIM experts to bridge domain knowledge with AI capabilities.
  • Establishing Best Practices: Establish best practices for model validation, versioning, explainability, and compliance with standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related engineering fields.
  • Experience: 8+ years of AI/ML development experience, including at least 3 years in an architectural or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
