Ship Electrician Job Opportunity

The role of Ship Electrician is a vital position in our operations, requiring an individual with solid working experience in marine crane and deck machinery. As part of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out field service attendances to troubleshoot and repair Deck Cranes, Grabs, Windlasses, Hatch Cover Hydraulics, and Davits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out inspection, troubleshooting, and repairing of Marine Cranes, Windlasses, and other hydraulic systems.
  • Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes and hydraulic machinery.
  • Be able to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
  • Supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage, and in ship yards.
  • Write technical reports and communicate with owners' representatives.


Requirements
  • Min 5 years' experience in inspection, troubleshooting, and repairing Marine Cranes, Windlasses, and other hydraulic systems.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes and hydraulic machinery.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
  • Sailing experience as Electrical Officer (E/O) on bulker vessels equipped with deck cranes.
  • Previous employment as service engineer with one of the leading deck crane manufacturers.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD).
