Job Title: Data Migration Strategist

The Data Migration Strategist will oversee the project and be responsible for the data migration and analysis. This individual will lead a team of members and ensure the quality of deliverables.

The Strategist will take the initiative to communicate with relevant stakeholders and lead the team in managing projects related to data migration and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), business requirement gathering, and project management, with a proven track record of team leadership and industry experience.

A strong understanding of ITSM frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience in managing multicultural and cross-functional teams are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full data migration lifecycle across multiple business units and technical teams
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, IT, and business users to ensure alignment on migration activities
  • Establish and enforce a robust data migration framework and ensure alignment with the Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Define and roll out tools and templates for use across the data migration team
  • Create and manage a clear reporting framework for tracking migration status and risks
  • Provide visibility and transparency through effective communication and risk assessment
  • Lead the data migration governance framework and ensure critical migration decisions are reviewed and approved appropriately
  • Take initiative in resolving challenges that may not be directly related to data but impact the project
  • Report regularly to the overall Project Manager and Project Steering Committee

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), covering the full project lifecycle
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business requirement gathering and definition, project management experience, with a proven record of team leadership and industry experience, with understanding of core products
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Solid understanding of ITSM frameworks, such as ITIL
  • Experience in managing multicultural and cross-functional teams, strong client engagement and communication skills are a plus
