Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive and impartial credit risk assessments of existing and potential borrowers to evaluate their creditworthiness and repayment capabilities.
  • Develop and present annual and quarterly credit reviews to senior management for existing and potential new customers within established frameworks and guidelines.
  • Support the development and implementation of credit rating applications proposed by the credit investment department.
  • Prepare and track monthly reports to senior management, monitoring financial statement disclosure and receipt, as well as completion of credit reviews and credit rating reviews within set timelines.
  • Prepare monthly self-review checklists to report on work schedules and progress to senior management.
  • Prepare and provide detailed verification of financial and non-financial covenants through quarterly and monthly reports to senior management.
  • Liaise with head office regarding credit control matters, including communication via email or telephone.
  • Organize and coordinate individual proposal and monthly meetings for the credit committee, preparing and circulating meeting minutes and maintaining original documents.
  • Conduct research and produce reports on credit issues relevant to the branch's credit portfolio.
  • Provide training, oversight, and support to junior or new colleagues to ensure smooth operations of the credit committee department.
  • Lead and promote a culture of accountability and good conduct within the credit committee department.
  • Collaborate with the head of department to achieve the department's targets and goals.


Qualifications:

  • At least 15-20 years of experience in credit analysis in banking, with a focus on writing credit papers and substantially working with large corporate clients.
  • 6-8 years of experience in credit analysis in lending to companies, with 3-4 years in corporate banking or commercial banking.
  • Degree required; team lead experience managing credit analysts.
