Senior Oracle Database Professional

Our organization seeks a skilled Senior Oracle Database professional to join our database production team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Oracle Database Administration, with experience in troubleshooting challenging performance issues and developing proactive measures and trend analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring database events and continuously optimizing system performance through troubleshooting and tuning. This includes administration, analysis, support, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, recoverability, failover, security, installation, and design.

  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Troubleshoot challenging performance issues and develop proactive measures and trend analysis to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Database Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor database events and continuously optimize system performance through troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Database Administration: Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for Oracle databases, including administration, analysis, support, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, recoverability, failover, security, installation, and design.
  • Replication Management: Configure, maintain, and manage replication.
  • Automation and Process Improvement: Work with the engineering team to automate reactive procedures and promote rapid response to database issues.
  • Performance Optimization: Design and develop proactive tools and measures to optimize performance and take our platform to the next level of scale.

Key Requirements:

  • Database Administration Experience: 8+ years of Database Administration experience supporting mission critical relational databases.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading a team is highly desirable.
  • Oracle Knowledge: Considerable experience and knowledge of Oracle with good knowledge on RAC.
  • Replication Experience: Experience working in replication.
  • Large Database Expertise: Expertise in handling very large databases.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience in cloud environment is a plus.
