Aviation Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team.

• To guarantee the accuracy of all incoming products upon receipt and outgoing to customers in accordance with our company management system. Such accuracy, in alignment with our quality objectives, shall pertain to documentation, part numbers, specifications, descriptions, quantities, and qualities of products.
• Performing incoming inspection to ensure that aviation products, parts, and appliances received meet the applicable requirements.
• Performing outgoing inspection to ensure that the design status is still current prior to issue of an EASA Form 1 to declare the airworthiness of new aviation products, parts, and appliances.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring correct shipment from forwarders prior to acceptance.
• Unpacking delivered items for inbound inspection.
• Performing incoming and outgoing inspections to ensure that aviation products, parts, and appliances meet the applicable design specifications.
• Ensuring all certificates and delivery documentation are in order.
• Recording technical inspections performed in production orders and relevant IT systems (SAP).
• Issuing certificates of conformity and/or EASA Form 1, where applicable.
• Documenting shipment discrepancies in the applicable claim database and following up with relevant stakeholders to resolve the discrepancy.
• Managing non-conforming materials according to company procedures.
• Performing periodic inspections managed according to company procedures.
• Managing shelf life monitoring programs according to company procedures.
• Inspecting customer return goods according to company procedures.
• Returning goods to suppliers according to company procedures.
• Scraping parts according to company procedures.
• Providing support on supplier discrepancy and customer claim handling and investigation.
• Reporting any suspected unapproved parts to the manager.
• Handling quality escape notifications and performing required actions.
• Maintaining tidy conditions in own working area and other areas for which the individual is responsible.
• Able to work 24-hour shifts.
• Any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assisting the manager in implementing and managing an independent quality and safety system with its administration to ensure that activities carried out can be monitored for compliance with relevant CAAs, ISO9001, AS9110 & AS9120 requirements and relevant procedures and instructions called out by company procedures.
• Working in a backup capacity within the team by arrangement with the manager – Quality.
• Providing support and guidance to the Warehouse and Shipping team on incoming and outgoing quality-related processes.
• Processing pick, pack, and shipment orders through the point of picking to dispatch with appropriate paperwork when necessary.
• Reporting any deterioration in quality performance and recommending mitigation actions.
• Promoting quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Assisting the manager in managing a system to monitor, investigate, and evaluate customer complaints and warranty issues in operations.
• Assisting in developing new processes together with the appropriate departments.

Requirements:

• Minimum Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education N level or equivalent with technical training preferred, preferably with a minimum Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 12 months of experience in an Airbus Production environment or an equivalent level from a different production/repair organization confirmed by POA Compliance Team is required.
• Technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed engineering and quality concepts.
• Ability to understand and read blueprints, schematics, and Component Maintenance Manuals.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and ability to read and understand applicable procedural documentation and regulations.
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to multi-task effectively.

• Preferably with minimum 18 months of aviation experience with at least 6 months in quality assurance function.
• Knowledge of airworthiness authorities' regulatory requirements and AS9100 series standard requirements is an added advantage.
• Ability to analyze inspection findings, and determine best case analysis advantage.
• PC literacy, including Google Word, Spreadsheets & Slides.
• Knowledge of SAP.
