Job Title: Vessel Manager

Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Vessel Manager to join our team. As a Vessel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and technical aspects of our container fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and analyze regular reports from vessels to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow up on routine reports from vessels to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct data analysis to optimize vessel performance, costs, and KPIs.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of data fed into our Ship Manager system.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic work plan with vessel command to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Visit vessels as required to assess their condition, report on maintenance and repairs, and discuss operational and technical matters with vessel command.
  • Prepare technical specifications for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in the Asia region.
  • Assist in conducting technical analysis for new purchases.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity on container carriers.
  • Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with a minimum of sailing experience on container carriers.
  • Prior experience in dry docking and technical management is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of PMS and SMS systems is required.
