Private Equity Fund Investment Manager

Sun Venture seeks a seasoned investment professional to manage its private equity fund investments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the private equity landscape, with expertise in sourcing, evaluating and monitoring fund commitments.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Private Equity Fund Investment to develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy, focused on delivering sustainable returns across market cycles.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of the private equity fund investment strategy and long-term goals for portfolio diversification.
  • Source and evaluate private equity and private credit fund opportunities, conducting due diligence and recommending investments to the investment committee.
  • Monitor the performance and risk exposure of the private equity fund portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Evaluate exit strategies and liquidity planning, including potential secondaries sales or restructurings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, industry experts and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on market trends and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in private equity fund investing, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, with expertise in designing and managing private markets allocation strategies within a broader multi-asset portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with fund managers, investors and other stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of global markets, economies and geopolitical developments, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team.
  • CFA or CAIA designation a plus.
