Responsibilities

Facilitate production Metro/RDA requirements

  • Deliver initial support for engineering inquiries, recipe management, tool recovery, and basic troubleshooting of equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Equipment, and Process Engineering teams to establish daily priorities and enhance communication.
  • Provide assistance and coordinate with tool owners and vendors regarding long-term equipment downtime, tool installation, relocation, upgrades, and schedules for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM).
  • Ensure all Special Work Requests (SWRs) are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Work alongside Production, Equipment, and Process Engineering teams to optimize maintenance schedules and tool utilization.
  • Collaborate with Process, Equipment Engineering, and capacity teams to determine sampling strategies that meet Production, Process Control, and Quality requirements.

Oversee and ensure all Metro/RDA tools comply with measurement and inspection standards.

  • Establish tool qualification criteria and implement monitoring through Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Make informed decisions on addressing tools and products that do not conform to established SPC rules for both process and defect-related issues.
  • Develop and manage initiatives aimed at reducing costs, minimizing tool measurement variability, enhancing availability, and resolving ongoing challenges.
  • Collaborate with Process, Equipment Owners, and vendors for equipment upgrades and enhancements to boost tool performance.
  • Conduct periodic assessments, tool-to-tool matching, and GR&R to ensure measurement accuracy.

Evaluate and enable next-generation tools to bridge metrology gaps.

  • Partner with metrology and inspection tool vendors to innovate new hardware, software, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process, and Equipment teams on tool and product specifications.
  • Conduct tool evaluations and buy-offs.

Drive methodological advancements to enhance efficiency in metro/RDA functions.

  • Propel process improvements through the creation of new recipes that deliver accurate and expedited feedback to the production line, thereby enhancing product confidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electronics preferred).
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in the semiconductor industry.
