Biopharmaceutical Production Specialist

Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical production activities in the plant, ensuring processes are run according to process description, and completing batch documentation accurately and thoroughly. This role also involves troubleshooting and resolving problems that arise during processing, as well as supervising a section of Chemical Technicians to meet production targets and schedules while maintaining satisfactory standards of Good Manufacturing Practice, safety, and housekeeping.
Key responsibilities include maintaining all qualifications and learning milestones necessary for related duties, handling sampling programs for water and environmental systems, performing and managing facility cleaning and sanitization programs, managing raw materials and consumables for the facility, participating in pre-commissioning and chemical commissioning activities, and supervising third-party contractors when applicable.
Qualifications and ExperienceA minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industries is required. A good understanding of safe working practices, cGMP, and good documentation practice is essential. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are also necessary. Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
