Network Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operations environment. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing problems, performing troubleshooting, and tracking issues through resolution.

  • Analyze network and system performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement solutions to resolve network-related issues.
  • Monitor network and bandwidth usage activities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Escalate issues to relevant stakeholders when necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum diploma in computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of experience working as a network engineer within the operations environment.
  • Good grasp of technical skills (network).
  • Must possess CCNA/CCNP certification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range $4200-$5000.
  • Offsite standby allowance of $200.

Special knowledge or skills advantageous for this role include:

  • Past working experience in cloud environment.
  • Good understanding and appreciation of network and system design.
  • Keen sense of urgency for service performance issues.
  • Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround.
  • Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills.
  • Meticulous and process-oriented.
  • Good hard-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good communication skills English (written, spoken) to liaise with native English-speaking clients.
  • Good teamwork.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems.
  • Good organisation skills, with ability to properly document and track information.
  • ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of following products will be advantageous: Cisco, NTP, FS load balancer, Solarwinds, IXIA.
