At Marina Bay Sands, the Automation Quality Assurance Engineer plays a crucial role in strategizing, designing, and executing automation frameworks and scripts. This position demands a thorough understanding of applications and their interfaces, necessitating effective collaboration with vendors, team members, and business stakeholders. The engineer is tasked with developing scripts, executing them, and analyzing the results of automation tests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT projects, interfacing with diverse IT stakeholders, including third-party vendors, development teams, business analysts, project managers, and project stakeholders to facilitate testing activities.
  • Examine requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Identify specific test cases suitable for automation and collaborate with manual QA engineers to discuss them.
  • Devise optimal automation solutions based on project requirements.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to explore how automation can enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Accountable for drafting test plans and other QA documentation in alignment with company standards.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing efforts effectively.
  • Conduct various testing activities for systems, networks, applications, databases, and software.
  • Compose precise and high-quality scripts to automate product functionality testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts.
  • Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.
  • Execute and manage automation test cases and their outcomes.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs meticulously.
  • Assist in coordinating User Acceptance Testing.
  • Comply with IT Quality Control, SDLC, and Project Governance guidelines, including internal and regulatory policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in test automation, preferably with UFT.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and frameworks, with the ability to proactively develop robust QA designs, plans, solutions, and test cases.
  • Strong technical proficiency with hands-on experience in programming languages such as Java and/or VBScript.
  • Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving in a service-oriented environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with various organizational levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the automation team.
