At Marina Bay Sands, the Automation Quality Assurance Engineer is tasked with the strategic planning, development, evaluation, and creation of automation strategies and scripts. This role demands a thorough understanding of applications and their interfaces, along with the ability to collaborate closely with vendors, team members, and business stakeholders. The engineer will be responsible for crafting scripts, executing tests, and capturing the results of automated testing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT projects, interfacing with diverse IT stakeholders, including third-party vendors, development teams, business analysts, project managers, and project stakeholders to facilitate testing activities.
  • Review requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Identify specific test cases suitable for automation and collaborate with manual QA engineers to discuss these opportunities.
  • Develop optimal automation solutions tailored to project requirements.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to explore how automation can enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Create test plans and other QA documentation in alignment with company standards.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities effectively.
  • Conduct a variety of tests across systems, networks, applications, databases, and software.
  • Write precise and high-quality scripts that automate product functionality testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts.
  • Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.
  • Execute and manage automation test cases and their outcomes.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly.
  • Assist in coordinating User Acceptance Testing.
  • Adhere to IT Quality Control, SDLC, and Project Governance guidelines, including internal and regulatory policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in test automation, preferably with UFT.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and frameworks, with experience in developing robust QA designs, plans, solutions, and test cases.
  • Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in programming languages such as Java and/or VBScript.
  • Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving in a service-oriented environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach.
