Server and Storage Expert


Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Server and Storage Expert to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows platforms, storage systems, Hyper-V, Veritas, VEEAM, and VMware.

The Server and Storage Expert will be responsible for maintaining high availability of services, implementing robust backup solutions, and ensuring data integrity across all systems. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operational environment for a large enterprise customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain server and storage solutions.
  • Develop and deploy server architectures that meet the needs of the business.
  • Manage and optimize Hyper-V and VMware virtual environments.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server, storage, and backup systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in server, storage, and backup engineering, with a proven track record in large enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. Proficient in Hyper-V and VMware virtualization technologies, with experience in managing virtual networks and storage. Extensive experience with Veritas and VEEAM backup solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, Veritas Certified Specialist) are a plus, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.

  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments, understanding how to integrate on-premises systems with cloud services.
