Job Description

Thales is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Verification & Validation Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Discipline, you will play a critical role in supporting the integration, verification, and validation of our Air Traffic Control (ATC) system and software.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in requirements analysis to ensure requirements are unambiguous and verifiable
  • Assist in the setup of test environments to facilitate the integration, testing, and acceptance activities required by the program
  • Contribute to successfully integrating and verifying incremental software releases for systems and/or subsystems, in accordance with the schedule set by the Technical Leads and WPM
  • Contribute to testing activities across multiple platforms (regression, interface, simulation scenarios, and test tools) to support project milestones and deadlines
  • Analyse System/Subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are identified early, captured fully, and logged according to internal processes
  • Collaborate with System, Software, and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specifications
  • Identify, document, track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to IVV activities, including test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Produce scripts to automate system administration tasks
  • Implement test and measuring tools used for system performance, loading, and response-time assessment
  • Follow Thales processes and practices and contribute to their improvement
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, IT, or similar
  • A passion for aviation/aerospace
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to understand the structure of and troubleshoot Virtualisation Platforms/Operating Systems (Clients/Servers)
  • Scripting: Python, Shell, Perl, Bash, XML
  • DevOps and Automation Tools: Ansible, Jenkins
  • Configuration Management: GIT (Bitbucket), JIRA
  • Cybersecurity: LDAP, AD, PKI
  • Network Protocols and technologies: SNMP, UDP, TCP, IP
  • Debugging tools e.g. Wireshark
  • Infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Programming Languages: Java, C++
  • Knowledge of networks and network configuration/exposure to distributed systems
