Lead AI Governance Initiatives

Singapore AI Safety Hub is seeking a strategic leader to drive the development of AI governance initiatives in Asia. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for building stakeholder relationships, driving fundraising efforts, and overseeing residency programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop organization vision and strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage residency programs and ensure impactful outputs
  • Collaborate with existing upskilling nonprofits to bring their programs to Singapore
  • Establish SASH as a trusted source of advice on AI governance

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years experience in research, technology, or policy organizations
  • At least 3 years of leadership and people management experience with a track record of building and scaling organizations
  • Experience working in or with government or fast-moving startup environments
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and project management abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Track record of engaging senior stakeholders
  • Highly motivated to advance AI safety

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past experience in AI Safety (e.g. governance or technical research)
  • International experience
  • Demonstrated experience raising $500K+ in funding for mission-driven organizations
  • Experience designing and launching research or educational programs that have served 100+ participants
  • Experience engaging with diverse governance stakeholders
