Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our technology projects in Electronics Engineering. As a key member of our Technology Project Office Team, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end execution of scaled technology deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering colleagues to develop software and hardware solutions and technology platforms for the complete life cycle.
  • Work with Operations colleagues to develop underlying manufacturing and test processes to deliver these solutions and platforms at scale.
  • Lead projects to deliver within agreed frames of time, cost, quality, and scale.
  • Ensure adequate progress towards deliverables, including timely decision-making, review meetings, dependency tracking, task delivery, and communication with team members.
  • Drive collective agreement among the multifunctional lead team, balancing interests between engineering and manufacturing, and escalating to the SteerCo or Sponsor if agreement cannot be reached.
  • Establish and maintain a well-functioning cross-functional team.
  • Plan project tasks and activities with workstream leads and ensure coordination across workstreams and other activities.
  • Manage change control and ensure that all significant changes to time, cost, quality, and scale are realigned by critical stakeholders.
  • Manage all project risks, including identification and mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on consumer electronics engineering project management and delivery experience in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical, electronics, systems, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in bringing projects to scale by actively dealing with Operations Factory teams as receiving parties, including insight into manufacturing and test processes.
  • Deep understanding of processes, tools, and ways of working within technology development projects.
  • Solid experience in leading a cross-functional team and people in a related field, focused on e.g., mechatronics, robotics, and/or consumer technologies, in collaboration with multiple cross-organizational teams such as engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • A can-do attitude, excellent communication, and motivational skills.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for new technologies and driving innovation.
  • Strategic and holistic thinker with attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (approx. 20-30 days per year).

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of professional systems engineering practices and best practices for the full development life cycle, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Technically savvy and able to have educated discussions with the team about cost, quality, and scaling.
  • Experience with Project Planning Tool (e.g., MPP).
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with internal and external partners.
