Energy Consultant

Join a leading management consulting firm in Southeast Asia to work on the growth of our energy and chemical clients through case leadership, client development, and intellectual property creation.

The role involves working with high-performing teams to conduct fact-based analyses, develop strategic solutions, and drive business growth. You will partner with operators, governments, and service companies to deliver results that meet client expectations.

You will:

  • Play a leading role in the growth of our energy and chemical clients
  • Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships in the energy and chemical sector
  • Provide support to energy and chemical transformation projects within the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors for key clients in Southeast Asia
  • Work jointly with project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site
  • Provide intellectual leadership by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis
  • Actively support business development efforts in client meetings and industry conferences
  • Contribute to the creation of intellectual capital by positioning papers, studies, insights from case experience, tools, and products

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong academics, preferably as a chemical engineer
  • Master or MBA degree required from a top-tier institution
  • A minimum 6 years' experience in the energy and chemical industry or a combination of industry and consulting experience in the chemical sector
  • Experience working with well-functioning, advanced global businesses in the energy and chemical sector
  • Deep understanding of the energy and chemical value chains, market trends, and key applications
  • Experience in plant operations, sales and operations planning, marketing and sales, or running large programs and transforming business units
