Job Title: Finance Team Lead

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled Finance Team Lead to join our Group Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the vendor payments, staff claims, intra-group billings, fixed assets processing, and IFRS16 leases processing to ensure efficient, accurate, and proper payments and accounting processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain systems, processes, and processing controls relating to vendor payments, staff claims, accounts payable/receivable, intra-group billings, fixed assets, and IFRS16 leases management for DBS SG.
  • Formulate, review, and operationalise policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure effective and efficient management and accounting of payments, receipts, fixed assets, and IFRS16 leases.
  • Strive for efficiency in work processes without compromising internal controls objectives.
  • Responsible for the Group-wide Delegation of Authority across DBS Group as a key control on approval for expense and capital spend.
  • Manage the Financial Accounting, Tax & Regulatory Reporting of DBS Foundation.
  • Assist the reporting manager to provide HO oversight & guidance to overseas Finance-Payments/Receipts & Fixed Assets teams on roll out of new Group systems, processes, and controls and/or enhancements to existing systems/processes/controls relating to Shared Services processes.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Banking/Accounting with proven work experience as Accounting/Finance Manager overseeing Accounts Payables/Receivables/Fixed Assets functions.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards relating to AR/AP/Fixed Assets/IFRS16, GST, and withholding tax matters.
  • Possess a strong control mindset.
  • Hands-on team player who can see the big picture, possess a curious, can-do attitude, and able to handle ambiguity.
  • Strong interpersonal, coordination, organization, and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
  • Proficient with Microsoft EXCEL, Powerpoint, and WORD. Knowledge in data analytics/automation tools like QV, Tableau, and Python will be an advantage.
  • Self-driven, self-motivated, able to work independently, with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Prior experience managing the implementation of regional Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets & Lease systems will be an advantage.
