This site-based role is responsible for supervising and ensuring that all architectural works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and local building regulations. This critical position forms part of the on-site supervision team, working under the direction of the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) and Superintending Officer (SO).
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Lead Resident Engineer and Resident Engineers in daily inspections and coordination activities.
- Conduct regular and IRF inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet required standards.
- Verify contractor's work against approved architectural drawings and contract specifications.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or deviations from approved plans.
- Ensure contractor's work adheres to relevant safety regulations and codes of practices as stipulated by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Requirements:
- Diploma in Architecture, Building Technology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of relevant full-time site supervision experience in large infrastructure projects or waste/water management projects in Singapore.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Singapore.
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and quality assurance systems.
- Competency in MS Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address on-site challenges efficiently.
