Pastoral Support Staff

We are seeking a highly motivated and spiritually-gifted individual to join our church team as a key staff member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spiritual Development:
    • Organize devotions, Bible studies, and other aspects of spiritual formation for Church School teachers.
    • Initiate and organize training and development programs for Church School teachers to ensure they are equipped with the latest teaching materials and methodologies.
    • Arrange prayer and fellowship meetings.
    • Provide opportunities for pastoral care and counseling to Church School teachers, and disciple children in their spiritual journey.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Assist the Committee in planning, organizing, and running Church School activities that align with its ministry objectives.
    • Ensure all activities meet the needs and objectives of the Church School in the prevailing environment.
    • Align activities with the church calendar of events and recommend alternatives to resolve conflicts.
    • Implement strategies to attract, engage, inspire, and retain Church School participation.
  • Leadership Liaison:
    • Liaise between the Ministry Committee and the Pastors' Office.
    • Monitor the state of the Ministry and provide feedback to the Pastors' Office.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by pastors or immediate supervisors in current ministry and/or other ministries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Theological Degree/Diploma

Essential Experience and Skill Sets:

  • Early Childhood Care or Children Ministry experience (at least 1 year)
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff
  • Innovative team player, self-motivated, pro-active
  • Building good rapport with children and parents
