Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for matter management, including client and matter clearance, opening, and closing processes. This role involves liaising with clients on matter management procedures, maintaining engagement letters, managing associate checklists, and updating matter document folders in iManage. Additionally, this position requires managing project administration, monitoring project scope, recording adjustments, estimates, caps, and billing agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Matter Management: Client and matter clearance and opening, liaison with clients on matter management processes.
  • Document Production: Transcribing, editing, and amending legal documents, converting, comparing, copying, and proofreading documents to ensure compliance with house style.
  • Travel Arrangements: Flight and hotel bookings, transportation changes, insurance, visas, and other travel-related services.
  • Business Development: Supporting partners, associates, and the business development team with activity such as amendments to business development materials and updates to databases.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong organizational skills. A good command of spoken and written English is essential, along with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
