We are seeking a skilled Legal Professional to join our team as a Commercial Law Specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity for a legal expert to take on a challenging role in the energy sector, focusing on commercial law and contracts.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing complex issues related to LNG as a marine fuel, including challenges and implications of its use.
  • They will also manage volatility in the marine fuels business, ensuring compliance with sanctions and export control regulations.
  • A key part of the role will be negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, such as bunkering, charter parties, and LNG supply contracts.
  • The Commercial Law Specialist will collaborate with legal teams across regions on projects and disputes, supporting credit risk management and supervising corporate matters.
  • Additionally, they will participate in legal training and meetings within the organization.
Requirements:
  • A strong educational background in law, preferably qualified in Singapore or the UK, with a good understanding of contract law.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience in a law firm or as a legal counsel, with a focus on commercial law.
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly in marine fuels and LNG, is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, ability to manage risks, and work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
