Job Title: Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced technician to join our team as a Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician. This role involves providing hands-on support in the operation and maintenance of all PV systems, assisting engineers with maintenance tasks, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, and carrying out necessary repairs.

As an O&M Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing contractors when engaged for maintenance work, ensuring that safety and quality standards are adhered to. You will also be expected to:

  • Support engineers in maintaining the company's installed PV systems and those covered under O&M contracts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Carry out repair activities on PV systems efficiently and safely.
  • Record faults, alarms, and maintenance actions in the company's internal tracking system.
  • Oversee maintenance work when contractors are engaged, ensuring that safety and quality are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the electrical or related industry is preferred.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing tasks, including working at heights.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong interest in renewable energy are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance software and tools.
