Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Lead to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our Global Privacy team, you will be responsible for designing innovative privacy solutions and ensuring compliance with APAC region regulations.

As Privacy Lead, you will work closely with our business and engineering teams to develop cutting-edge products that prioritize user data protection. You will also partner with our legal, compliance, and risk teams to support new projects and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement global privacy transformation programs throughout the APAC region.
  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to develop products that prioritize user data protection.
  • Advise on the privacy aspects of Wise platform partnerships and agreements.
  • Support expansion efforts as we launch Wise products and services in new jurisdictions.
  • Oversee privacy compliance for our APAC entities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent academic credentials and minimum 8 years experience in privacy law.
  • Strong understanding of APAC privacy laws and data protection regulations.
  • Experience in handling privacy inquiries, complaints and incidents.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating privacy-related contracts and developing compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
