Maintenance Technician Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Morning Shift: 7am - 3pm; Afternoon Shift: 3pm - 11pm ($8.50/day); Night Shift: 11pm - 7am ($14/day)
  • Company transport at various locations in the west

You will be expected to perform daily routine checks on machinery, attend to task complaints, breakdowns, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules. You will also be responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting defects or inconsistent performance, identifying countermeasures to rectify issues, and reporting to your supervisor when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Daily routine check of machinery to ensure all apparatus and equipment are working.
  • Attend to all tasks, complaints, breakdowns, and monthly preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot defect/inconsistent performance & countermeasures to rectify issues.
  • Report to Supervisor for further rectification of faults when own initiative could not resolve.
  • Ensure maximum safety and efficiency of operation after repair of such machinery in accordance with required standard to be spelled out from time to time by Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Assist in planning of systematic maintenance schedule for machine assigned.
  • Maintain and submit daily machine problem analysis reports to Supervisor.
  • Attend meetings, reviews, discussions, and co-ordinate with Production Supervisor.
  • Perform instructions as may be required by superior.
  • ITE/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical. Entry level are welcome to apply.
