Senior Backend Java Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Backend Java Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend design and development using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-availability systems with zero-defect code.
  • Participate in Continuous Integration activities and automation frameworks.
  • Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for modules and participate in planning poker.

Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:

  • 6-8 years of experience in design, development, and support of large web-based systems.
  • Strong knowledge of backend design and development using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Java 11+
  • RESTful APIs and Microservices development (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
  • Cloud - Azure preferred.
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP/eXtreme Programming).
  • Complexity estimation/planning poker.
  • Strong culture on Software Testing (TDD/BDD, JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber).

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should also possess the following technical skills:

  • Micro Services
  • Data store like PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.
  • Event-based systems/Development Reactive development/Event Streams
  • Code Version Control tools (GIT, Bitbucket)
  • Understanding of DevSecOps (Jenkins, Docker, K8s, etc.)
