Senior Engineering Role

This role involves providing engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting SMRT Signalling, Communication & Control System and their associated equipment.

The successful candidate will be required to independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with Ops and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects.
  • Analyze and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns.
  • Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signaling, Communication & Control System performance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous.
  • Adept with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies, such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Best practices in Maintenance Science.
  • Exhibit Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers.
