Senior Polymer Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Polymer Research Scientist to join our team. This role involves managing laboratory operations, developing new polymer solutions, conducting tests and trials, and implementing technology solutions for client projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in polymer science or materials engineering, with experience in laboratory management, testing coordination, and technical project implementation.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Technical Development: Support the development and implementation of new polymeric marking solutions, conduct and oversee R&D experiments and trials, analyze test results, and provide detailed technical reports.
  • Lab & Testing Management: Manage day-to-day lab operations, ensure the lab is configured and structured to meet project needs and safety standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all testing activities.
  • Client Technology Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of technology implementation projects, act as a technical liaison between the company and clients, and support the Head of Technology & Commercialisation in the preparation of technical documentation.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor project progress, address any technical challenges that may arise, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the polymeric solutions portfolio.

Additional tasks include assisting in the organization and logistical planning of technology demonstrations, supporting the Head of Technology & Commercialisation in identifying new opportunities for technology commercialization and market expansion, staying updated with the latest advancements in polymer science, and training and mentoring junior engineers or lab technicians.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, minimum 5 years of experience in polymeric applications, material science, or a similar technical role, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with laboratory management software.
