We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer Specialist to join our team at Kingsforce Management Services Pte. Ltd.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to take on a key role in improving production technology and process efficiency at one of our upcoming chemical plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and update process control documents, procedures, and operation condition sheets in consultation with Production Superintendent and Day Supervisors from Operation.
  • Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve process efficiency, equipment performance, product yield, capacity, quality, process material uses, and utility consumption.
  • Manage and improve process control system (DCS, SIS) and process data logging system.
  • SUPPORT trial production and test run of new grades, new processes, and equipment with the Production Technology Engineer.
  • Optimize plant operating efficiency, yield optimization, and energy conservation through feasibility studies and field tests.
  • Provide technical support for Silo & Packaging process, including corrective measures for customer complaints in a technical viewpoint.
  • Lead process safety assessment (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.) and support HSE department technically.
  • Submit reports' findings and recommend modification, improvement, and potential investment projects such as debottlenecking, environmental, and cost reduction activities.
  • C Coordinate with the technical section for process simulation, evaluation, investigation, performance & yield optimization.
  • Perform basic engineering design for all potential investment projects, prepare marked-up P&IDs, and required technical information for cost estimation purposes.
  • C Coordinate with the Technical department all plant improvement and modification activities working closely with the Technical Process engineer to prepare detailed engineering design, preparing specifications and requisitions for major equipment purchases, reviewing vendors' documents, conduct hazard analysis, performance tests, and commissioning activities.
  • C Coordinate with the Technical department for regular updates of P&IDs, instrument list, and equipment list.
  • Communicate with the global process improvement team to build synergy for further technical updates of new plant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, or engineering.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant engineering/production work experience in chemical industry.
  • Experience in designing or optimizing the process control system of chemical plants.
  • Basic Engineering Skill with utilizing process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID).
  • Knowledge of mass and heat balance calculations of chemical plants.
  • Demonstrated skill to in leadership, developing others, and working in a team-based environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical process simulations (e.g. polymerization, other reaction processes, distillation, drying, and so on).
  • Technical understanding of polymer extrusion process.
  • Knowledge of DCS programing and parameter tuning (PID control).
  • Experience in lean manufacturing methods (e.g. 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM).
  • High proficiency in Excel including VBA, macros, or other related software engineering tools.
  • Experience with leading Capex projects.
  • Experience with Management of Change (MOC), Process safety assessment (PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, QRA, etc.), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
