Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the administration and coordination of production engineering projects, policies, processes, methods, and procedures. The successful candidate will aim to enhance operational performance, minimize waste and delays, and drive cost reductions throughout the organization.

This position involves developing, refining, and implementing manufacturing processes and methodologies, including lean manufacturing, to improve efficiency and quality. The individual will also be responsible for designing and implementing new manufacturing methods and processes, supporting product development activities to enhance production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance existing manufacturing processes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Analyze standard data across various machines, assembly lines, and manual operations to identify opportunities for improvement in production methods, equipment layout, material handling, and resource utilization.
  • Apply statistical methods to determine root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues, optimize product specifications, and improve processes.
  • Offer technical support and guidance related to manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Engineering Management Experience: Proven track record in engineering management within the medical device industry, demonstrating leadership in cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
  • Advanced Manufacturing Methodologies: Experience with manufacturing processes and methodologies, including Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, and other advanced tools and concepts, to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to streamline production processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
