Innovative Disability Employment Specialist

You will work closely with individuals with disabilities from institutions of higher learning to enhance their employability and transition into the workforce.
As part of this role, you will design and implement support strategies to enable students and graduates with disabilities from various backgrounds to successfully transition from education to employment. This will involve collaborating with stakeholders such as institutions of higher learning, employers, and community groups to promote sustainable disability-inclusive hiring practices.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Client Servicing: Working with individuals with disabilities, employers, and support networks to facilitate internships or job placements.
- Job Support: Providing ongoing support to individuals with disabilities in their workplaces.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with external stakeholders, including employers and social service agency partners, to support the employment of individuals with disabilities.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in any discipline.
- Experience in the social service or disability sector, or client-facing roles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
