Description

Singtel and Singapore Institute of Technology have partnered to launch a Work-Study Programme (WSP). The programme, called The Catalyst Programme, is a structured on-the-job development initiative. It allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Applied Computing.

This programme is open to internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders, preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are also encouraged to apply.

The programme aims to develop and groom talent over a 3-year period. Candidates will complete micro-credentials for each module, which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Applied Computing.

Candidates will be offered a specific role, such as Network Service Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision, implementation, test and turn up of customer telco WAN services in cooperation with the customer and field services teams.
  • This includes services with technology such as IPVPN, IPsec, BGP transit and MPLS VPNs on layer 2 and 3 on core equipment.
  • Technical validation of customer provisioning telco WAN workorders.
  • Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation.
  • Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality.
Requirements

Diploma in Physics/Computer Sciences & IT Related.

Experience in Hardware/Network Engr / Training Supr & Network Engineer.
