Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

In this role, you will work closely with our IT team to ensure the seamless operation of our network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls. You will also be responsible for monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal network uptime.

A successful Network Infrastructure Specialist will possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather business and/or application requirements to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with specifications & service level.
  • Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
  • Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability.
  • Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
  • Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.

Requirements:

  • CCNP certification
  • Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
