As a Settlement Executive at Singapore Petroleum Company Limited, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with counterparties and bankers for Import and Export issuance.
  • Handling accounts receivable and payable for physical products trading deals.
  • Liaising with bankers for Letters of Credit (LC) negotiation, documents preparation, and submission.
  • Liaising with Operations for trade/shipment information and following up with HQ on the payment signing process.
  • Handling cargo and direct expenses payments.
  • Reviewing trade contracts and maintaining updated information in trade systems.
  • Delivering accurate trade information for monthly closing to Accounts.
  • Providing payment and collection information for funding arrangements to Treasury.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Finance, Banking, Commerce, or Maritime Studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Trade Finance.
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC) will be an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good quantitative skills and attention to detail.
