Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

This role is responsible for managing and administering on-premises systems, including virtualization platforms, Linux and Windows systems, SAN and storage solutions.

The successful candidate will have exceptional system administration skills, particularly in troubleshooting and resolving issues according to company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and optimizing system performance to ensure operational efficiency, creating and maintaining documentation and operational processes, and supporting audit activities, infrastructure/network security scans, disaster recovery, and security drills.

They will also be responsible for researching, evaluating, and deploying new technologies to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency, delivering automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform, and providing on-call support according to the roster for troubleshooting and planned maintenance of production systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a similar hands-on role
  • Proven experience managing both Unix (Linux and/or AIX) and Windows servers, with expert-level knowledge (certification preferred) in at least one area, covering installation, configuration, security, networking, storage, patching, and hardening
  • Experience working in Virtualization environments
  • Practical experience administering SAN and related storage technologies
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Ansible for provisioning and managing dynamic infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure components including virtualization technologies, storage, networking, internet protocols, operating systems, scripting and monitoring tools, and IT security
