Job Summary:

The Chef Prep Specialist is a key member of our culinary team responsible for preparing ingredients to meet the demands of a high-volume kitchen environment.

This role requires exceptional knife skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina to stand for long periods while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing a variety of ingredients by cutting, peeling, trimming, slicing, dicing, and chopping to minimize food wastage and ensure consistency in cut sizes.
  • Using knives and cutting tools safely and effectively to maintain efficiency and productivity in the kitchen.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all preparation and storage processes.
  • Assisting with inventory management, including stock checks and reporting low supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participating in cleaning and sanitizing workstations, knives, cutting boards, and equipment before and after use.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or food production environment preferred but not required.
  • Good understanding of different cutting techniques and ability to adapt to varying recipe requirements.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
