Lighting Consultant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lighting Consultant to join our team. As a Lighting Consultant, you will be responsible for developing lighting design solutions for various projects, including façade, interior, and landscape lighting.

  • Develop lighting design concepts and present them to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Source and manage suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Evaluate the performance of physical lighting products and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare budget and power consumption estimates for lighting projects.
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and coordination, including reviewing suppliers' proposals and managing timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Lighting Consultant, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, architectural or interior design, or lighting design.
  • Previous sales experience in the lighting industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and Dialux Evo/Dialux.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without supervision.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and focused with a positive attitude.
  • At least 3-6 years of experience in lighting design and project management.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between SGD $1,350 and SGD $1,700 (open to negotiation), depending on your expertise and experience. Additionally, you will receive commission based on closed sales/projects handled by yourself or the team, basic medical and insurance coverage, and 14 days annual leave. You may also be eligible for an annual bonus and after-per-assignment/project bonus subject to overall team and individual performance.
