About this role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive value creation and optimize capital investments as part of our CAPEX & MRO procurement team.


Job Description:

As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing global category sourcing plans, managing global suppliers, and ensuring excellence in the end-to-end value chain. You will work closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategic relationships with suppliers, and negotiate complex contracts. Additionally, you will manage the contract process, act as a single point of contact for procurement, legal, and finance teams, and foster mutual opportunities with suppliers.

This is a new but important category with high impact on factory operations. The category is currently expanding as we expand our portfolio within mechatronics through a new innovative program. This expansion requires new capabilities within the CAPEX community for contract and category management of a new supply base.

You will be accountable for all aspects of local, regional, and global commercial governance, including code of conduct, contract, and PO compliance. You will also conduct operational performance review meetings and govern supplier relationships to ensure alignment with our business goals.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strategic flair and collaborative person with 3+ years of relevant experience within procurement, relationship management with strategic suppliers, project management, and/or engineering in an international company.
  • Experience with CAPEX contract management, especially complex high-speed automation equipment and sub-assembly.
  • Negotiation skills and experience with large, complex spend.
  • Specialist knowledge within manufacturing equipment, especially high-speed automation equipment and sub-assembly systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering processes.
  • 1-2 years leader partnering experience with strategic level - C-level at external suppliers, internal SD level.
  • International mobility, expecting traveling 20-25 days per year.
