Senior Infrastructure Director Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Director to lead our platform engineering and operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the 5-year platform engineering and operations roadmap, driving standardization and cost optimization across global platforms, and establishing platform engineering as a product function.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with business goals.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud and container-based solutions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of infrastructure automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to maximize ROI.

About the Role

  • Experience: 20+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering, with at least 8–10 years in global leadership roles.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven track record in defining multi-year infrastructure strategies and driving transformation at scale.
  • Technical Breadth:
    • Virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, Azure Stack).
    • Storage (SAN, NAS, object storage, HCI platforms).
    • Backup/DR (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, PowerProtect).
    • Automation (Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI, Python, CI/CD).
    • Monitoring & Observability (vROps, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
    • Cloud & Containers (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Security & Governance: Strong knowledge of CIS, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, MAS-TRM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • VMware VCDX or advanced VCAP certifications, Cloud Architect.
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture.
  • ITIL Expert, PMP/Prince2.
  • CISSP, CISM (security governance).
