Product Development Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of new products, from conceptualization to launch.

This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed documentation for product and hardware specifications and requirements.
  • Update engineering bill of materials (BOM), drawings, and other related documents.
  • Assist in sample build and perform product evaluation, failure analysis, and troubleshooting of problems or defects.
  • Support value engineering and cost-down activities for new and existing products.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably have 2 years of working experience; candidates with no working experience are welcome to apply too.
  • Knowledge of plastic and metal stamping processes is essential.
  • General understanding of mechanisms and controls is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CAD operations, including CATIA V5, Pro-E, IDEAS, and CCD, will be an added advantage.
  • 3D Cad modelling skills and ability to read 2D drawings are required.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to perform overtime.
