Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner, while also collecting stock from suppliers and expired goods from customers. This position requires a high level of organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods to customers at receiving points, warehouses, and shipyards in a safe and timely manner.
  • Collect new stock from suppliers, ensuring that it is properly stored and accounted for.
  • Collect expired goods from customers and at ports, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that all documents, including invoices, delivery orders, and signed orders, are complete and accurate.
  • Pack goods just before delivery, taking care to ensure they are properly secured and protected.
  • Clean and maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Port experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Must be able to work 5.5 days per week, with alternate Saturdays off.
  • Fitness and health are crucial, as the role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy boxes and goods.
  • Ability to work overtime is necessary, as this role may require extended hours during peak periods.
  • Class 3 Licence and above is required, as this role involves driving heavy vehicles.
  • Minimum secondary school education is required.
