Senior Financial Risk Specialist

About the Role- Evaluate loan requests, internal assessments, and transaction proposals for institutional investors in various regions.
- Collaborate with the business to discuss and influence transaction structures and facility terms to mitigate risks; provide expert advice through due diligence and risk management.
- Present transactions concisely to senior business and management teams globally with deep knowledge of clients, transactions, and risks & mitigants.
- Evaluate loan applications and provide guidance on policy and risk tolerance.
- Engage early with potential transactions, form opinions, and present to management.
- Work closely with stakeholders across divisions and jurisdictions, attending meetings on transactions and providing risk management expertise.
- Support new initiatives by providing risk-focused advice; contribute to credit and policy guidelines and change initiatives to drive efficiency improvements.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial sector, including 4 years of Asset Manager and Fund Finance portfolio coverage experience.
- Experience in analysis and documentation of subscription, net asset value finance transactions and traded products across institutional investor clients such as asset managers, private equity, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds in Asia or Oceania.
- A strong understanding of sector risk dynamics, regulatory landscape, and ability to apply this in counterparty risk analysis.
